There are strange mysteries behind places that are deemed to be haunted. It's not necessary one might see the un-dead, but it's a strange feeling that creates Fear. Here are the World's 10 most haunted places that will wrack one's nerve:

1. Whitechapel, London - London has it's share of ghosts, Whitechapel being the most dreadful for the notorious "Jack the ripper". Screaming and loud footsteps of spirits are often heard in the town.
2. The Screaming Tunnel, Canada - A girl was believed to be burnt alive who lived in this tunnel. Fearful cries of a girl can be heard if a matchstick is lit till it's blown off. 
3. Changi Beach, Singapore - Innocent people were once killed here during World War II. Thereafter, regular howlings of unseen people are heard, along with strange incidents.
4. Beechworth Asylum, Australia - This asylum have witnessed extreme number of deaths. Frightening events like the visit of the dead is often witnessed.
5. New Orleans, America - New Orleans is considered to be the birth of the undead. The city has it's scary tales, like that of MADAME LALAURIE's Mansion or that of the VOODOO practice.
6. Bhangarh Fort, India - The Palace residents were cursed to death whose souls are believed to be trapped. It's strictly forbidden to enter the Fort after Sunset as one may never come back.
7. Doll Island, Mexico - A Mexican Man found a doll in a canal that he hanged to a tree, not knowing it was possessed, making him a lunatic. The man was found dead in the same canal after few years. Strange occurrence still resides the island.
8. Edinburgh, Scotland - The Castle often speaks of it's magnificence but not the dead. It surrounds itself of terrifying sounds and appearances of dead people.
9. Catacombs of Paris - It was used to place dead bodies in the 17th century making it haunted thereafter, which has also been caught on tap.
10. The Himuro Mansion, Japan - Several girls were once killed here for a superstitious ritual. Although, there was a mass massacre of the entire family, the place still shelters the dead.
